Holiday Habit!

It's been 3 days since Christmas and I seem to be stuck in the "Holiday Habit"!  You know ... hanging on the sofa all day in pajamas under the blankets while watching television and snacking on all those Christmas goodies.  I feel like a bear in hibernation, waiting for Spring!

I haven't been totally useless the past few days.  Along with a few loads of laundry and dishes, I paid the last bills of the year, balanced the checkbook, and even did a little real estate business.  I just love how technology has allowed me to email listings and contracts to clients.  I may even have a new deal for the new year!  I've also almost finished reading Pat's (Bumfuzzle) new book about generating income from trading options, called Live on the Margin.  I'm learning a lot, and before reading his book I would have never said, "trading options".  I'd never even heard of such a thing!  Look for my review soon, or just go ahead and order the book.  You won't be sorry ... knowledge is power!

Since today is already Friday, thoughts of going into the office didn't last very long!  Heck, why get back into the work routine on a Friday?!  Monday is New Year's Eve so why bother right?  Tuesday ... well that's New Year's Day so the office will be closed.  Looks like I'll just take it easy until next Wednesday.
Hanging around the house is tough!  The holidays and my recent state of hibernation have caused me to blow off my workouts.  I refuse to get on the scale, but I'm afraid I've gained about 5 pounds.  On this short body, that's a lot and I'll have to work hard to get those chocolate chip cookies off.  I'll just think of living in a bikini soon and that'll get me going!

But hey, life is short so I'll get back into the routine of things soon.  Meanwhile, I'm gonna just relax and enjoy.   Damn, it's gonna be nice when the traditional work week no longer exists for us.  I also wonder where we'll be celebrating Christmas next year ... hopefully somewhere like the Bahamas!

Ken and I had a great Christmas with our family, and we got some really cool gifts for Nirvana and for our future cruising plans.  Once I get back into the groove, I'll write about some of the things we got.  I've been so lazy lately that I had to force myself to write this blog!  I gotta say though, that it's good to "step away from the computer" lately.  I'm truly interested in your comments, your own blogs and Facebook posts, but boy does it eat up a lotta time.  It's good to disconnect and unwind a little bit.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!  If you didn't celebrate it, well then I hope you did whatever brings you joy.  Have a safe and "Happy New Year"!  See ya in 2013 ... I gotta go get a cookie!

Hasta luego ... until then.  Mid-Life Cruising!

Glad you had a great Christmas. We did too. It also sounds like you're going to ring in the new year mighty fine too. We're going to the boat for new years. Why not.

Don't worry about those extra pounds. You'll have them off in no time. You don't eat like this except for the holidays right?

Have a terrific day and long weekend. Happy New Year too. :)

Have you started your 2013 Goal List yet? (I'm sure you have), but if you haven't now is the time to cogitate on it. While you're in your comfy place, start dreaming for the future. I know I am and we are all in this together! Love You!

Ah, the days of sloth. You have hit them, too. I believe they are a necessary time for rejuvenation before the new year begins. I recently posted on this very thing: http://littlecunningplan.com/2012/12/days-of-sloth/
I concur about the weight gain. I plan to ignore my scale until January. I lost weight before the holidays so I wouldn't have to be overly concerned. If I've gained anything, it will come right off.

You can count on me spending Christmas with y'all next year if it's anywhere like the Bahamas!

Erica, I'm already counting on it! LOL!

Sandee, glad you enjoyed Christmas with your grandkids and Christmas Eve on your boat ... jealous! You're right, I don't eat like this all the time, although I easily could. Gotta have a corn dog with your hubby! =)

Venetia, our goal for 2013 is simple (not easy) ... sell our house! Once that happens, it's smooth sailing!

LCP .. I need to catch up on your blog as soon as I stop hibernating! Hope you're doing well!

Happy New Year everyone!

I'm looking forward to your next post describing all the great stuff you received for Nirvana!! I am glad you've been able to do some relaxing over the holidays! You definitely needed some downtime after your crazy year.

Merry Christmas!! It was HARD to get back into the swing of things and head to work..

Tate and I both commented on how we could EASILY get used to cruising for a living..no problem.

May your new year be bright!
